We are delighted to report that as spring bursts into life around us on the farm – we’ve been welcoming a number of new additions to the gang as we go!
We love the spring time – watching as the hedgerows and plantlife around the farm burst into life and colour around us. At the same time – we’ve also welcomed a number of new calves across the farm as well.
Our Aberdeen Angus herd have delivered around 15 new calves already this spring and if the vets estimations are right, within a month or so, we could have as many as 80 new calves finding their feet around the farm.
At the same time – our sheep which are currently located in a small field behind the Lodge, have also given brith recently to some baby lambs who have been having a lot of fun exploring their new surroundings as well.
All told its a really exciting time of the year and its a real pleasure for us to be able to share this experience (at a respectful distance) with our guests. Here at Drayton Ash farm what we believe sets us apart locally IS our location – surrounded by the unique sounds and sights of life on a working farm.
