Agro-tourism

At Drayton Ash Farm, we believe that agro-tourism is the future of sustainable tourism… But what does that mean?

By promoting sustainable farming practices and offering visitors the chance to experience life on a working farm, we hope to inspire a greater appreciation for the environment and a deeper understanding of the vital role that farmers play in our society.

Welland Valley Lodge is set on the beautiful surroundings of a working 150 acre farm in the rolling Leicestershire countryside.

Around the farm you will see a range of livestock including cattle, sheep and chickens – and while we hope all of our guests will be respectful around them – we encourage all of our guests to explore and see more of the farm while you stay with us.

We believe that agro-tourism is not just about having fun and learning new things, but also about making a positive impact on the world around us. By choosing to stay at Drayton Ash Farm, you’re not just choosing a holiday destination – you’re choosing to support sustainable agriculture and make a difference in the world.

Here’s a really useful video that explains the concept a little…

We love sharing our experience and knowledge with guests so feel free to ask questions while you stay with us and get to know a little more about the important role than farming plays in our local and wider communities!
