Things to do for the family:

Here at the farm we are ideally located to discover endless family-friendly adventures in Northamptonshire and Leicestershire!

Immerse yourself in the rich history of Northamptonshire with visits to magnificent castles such as Rockingham Castle and iconic locations such as Althorp House or Silverstone.

Enjoy exciting outdoor activities such as cycling along scenic trails, picnicking in lush parks, or embarking on thrilling nature walks.

For a fun-filled day, explore captivating museums, interactive exhibitions, and engaging wildlife parks such as Leicesters Space Museum or Rutland Water or indulge in retail therapy at vibrant local markets or visit bustling towns for shopping and dining experiences.

Local restaurants:

There are a range of great local pubs within easy reach of the farm – all offering a warm welcome and a range of good value family meals.

In addition, there are also a number of wonderful local restaurants including the newly opened No 23 Restaurant in nearby Uppingham where you can also enjoy delicious French style cooking at The Lake Isle restaurant or head to Don Paddies – a cafe bar which is open all day.

Local shopping:

From our location in Market Harborough, our guests are ideally located within easy reach of a range of larger cities and market towns with all the amenities you could possibly need.

The larger towns and cities of Leicester, Northampton and Coventry offer a wealth of larger chain stores and local boutiques, while market towns such as Market Harborough and Oundle offer regular weekly markets with a range of delicious local produce, as well as a range of boutiques, cafes and eateries.

Elsewhere we are lucky to be surrounded by a number of really unique retail settings in beautiful rural surroundings – including Heart of the Shires; which brings together a range of boutique local producers, and the Engine Yard at Belvoir – which has created a beautiful retail experience in the converted buildings of the old estate.
